WISDOM TEETH

Wisdom teeth are third molars that come in at the back of our teeth and generally erupt in our late teens or early 20s. Many people do not have room for these teeth, and for some, their wisdom teeth come in at the wrong angle. When wisdom teeth do not erupt through the gum properly, they can potentially cause numerous oral health problems. Stitches are placed to hold the gum together while your mouth heals. If necessary, any remaining stitches will be removed after a few days. Most patients resume eating normally after about 1 week but that time may vary depending on the amount of work done.
