HOW DOES INVISALIGN® WORK?

Our cosmetic dentists often recommend Invisalign® for Barrie-area patients who need orthodontic adjustment but don’t want to deal with embarrassing and unsightly traditional metal braces. At the Chapnick Dental Office, we understand how important it is to get the results you need in an inconspicuous fashion.

Invisalign works by subtly shifting your teeth in the direction that our cosmetic dentist believes is appropriate. You’ll be given a set of clear plastic aligners that are custom-designed for you. At that point, you just slip the aligners over your teeth and let them do their work.

After a couple weeks, you’ll return to our office, see your cosmetic dentist and get a new set of aligners that were designed to match your teeth’s slightly different position. You then continue this process for about a year (though precise treatment times vary for each patient).

At the end of this time, you’ll have achieved the straight, smooth, photogenic smile you and your cosmetic dentist planned at your first meeting. All without the discomfort, inconvenience or unattractiveness of traditional metal braces.
