DO VENEERS STAIN?

Porcelain veneers are a very good way to cover up minor cosmetic problems, such as gaps, chips, or crooked teeth. They are also a way to cover up severe staining. Porcelain veneers have several advantages. They are natural-looking, give immediate results, and are very durable. In addition to these advantages, porcelain veneers do not stain.

Given that people will consume beverages like coffee, tea, or wine, as well as several kinds of food, that can stain your teeth, patients interested in porcelain veneers wonder if they’ll stain, too. The reason porcelain veneers do not stain is because they are not porous like your natural teeth.

Stain resistance does not mean you should not continue to brush and floss regularly. If you continue to care for your veneers as you would your natural teeth, they can last for many years.

Dr. Chapnick will determine if you are a candidate for stain-resistant porcelain veneers during a consultation with him at his Barrie office. You may also want to discuss how Lumineers® can improve your smile.

If you are interested in finding out more how porcelain veneers can improve your smile as a stand-alone procedure or as part of smile makeover and are in the Barrie, Ontario area, please contact Chapnick Dental Office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Chapnick today.
