WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A DENTAL IMPLANT EXAM
At the Chapnick Dental Office, we treat each patient as a unique individual. When you come to us for a dental implant consultation, we will listen carefully to your concerns and provide you with honest information about what you can expect before, during, and after your procedure.
While dental implants offer a permanent solution for replacing missing teeth, they are not ideal for everyone. During your initial consultation, we will need to determine if dental implants are a viable option for you.
Determining Candidacy for Dental Implants
In order to determine if dental implants are right for you, we will review your medical history and perform a thorough examination of your teeth and gums, as well as the bone density of your jaw. This exam may include X-rays and CT scans to help us determine if you have sufficient jaw structure to support an implant.
Depending on your situation, we will then discuss specifics of the dental implant procedure and the steps you will need to follow to help ensure that it’s successful. If it is determined that you are not an ideal candidate for dental implants, we will discuss other tooth replacement options with you.
Replacing missing teeth is necessary for both the function and appearance of your smile. When you come to us for a dental implant consultation, we will discuss all of your options and help you find the solution that is best suited for your needs.
