What to Expect During Tooth Bonding
There are several steps involved in tooth bonding:
- Tooth color decision: Composite resin is available in different tooth color shades. You will work together with Dr. Chapnick to decide which shade will be right for your smile.
- Tooth preparation: Your tooth will be roughened slightly so the composite material will adhere better with your tooth.
- Resin application: The composite material is applied to your tooth and hand-shaped to the perfect form.
- Resin hardening: A high power light speeds up the bonding process between the composite resin and your natural tooth structure.
- Trimming and polishing: Excess resin material is removed and your bonded tooth is polished to the perfect sheen.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Dental Bonding
