Molson Park Dental Office is a friendly, full-service dental practice. We offer an array of cosmetic dentistry procedures as well as general dentistry and neuromuscular dentistry. Neuromuscular dentistry involves therapy for chronic headaches and jaw pain, two of the symptoms of a little-known condition called TMD (or TMJ – Temporomandibular Joint Disorder) (see below).
Dr. Adam Chapnick has post-graduate training from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Dentists come to LVI from all over the world to learn the best cosmetic and neuromuscular techniques. Typically, neither of those areas of dentistry is taught in undergraduate dental schools.
You Are Our Priority
Dr. Chapnick’s team is also highly qualified and will give you the best care possible at all times. We place a high priority on patient education and on prevention. One of our goals is to minimize the time you spend in any of our dental chairs!
This is a patient-centered practice, which means that Dr. Chapnick will always answer questions, explain procedures, and recommend what he considers to be your best dental options given your current dental status. But in the end, it is your decision as to what to do.
Comfort Amenities Client to provide more information
Your comfort while here is also a high priority, so we offer amenities to help you feel at calm, comfortable, and relaxed. We will never keep you waiting long, but if you are in the reception area for any reason, we offer fresh coffee, tea or bottled water is available. We give each patient a bottle of fresh water, also.
While your dental work is being done, you can be wrapped in a cozy blanket with a massage pillow supporting your head, and a neck warmer if you choose. Through headphones, you can listen to music on an iPod or watch a movie on a DVD. We even have stress balls if you are feeling a bit anxious, and we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help with anxiety, too. Dr. Chapnick and his team will decide if that is an option for you.
Your Choice of Dental Procedures
If you would like to know more about smile makeovers or particular procedures that could enhance your smile, we will be happy to schedule a consultation for you. You might want to consider our effective teeth whitening procedure, the ever-popular porcelain veneers, or tooth-colored fillings to upgrade your fillings to the best restorations available. Porcelain inlays and onlays are an excellent choice of white filling and they hold the tooth together strongly, giving it a longer life.
Therapy for Headaches
Perhaps you suffer from chronic and painful headaches, and if so, it would be worthwhile for you to be checked for TMD. Most people who suffer from that jaw joint misalignment condition do not realize that their symptoms have a dental cause.
When one or both jaw joints are misaligned, the bite is misaligned and the jaw muscles are chronically strained. Aside from headaches and jaw pain, other symptoms include:
- Ear pain
- Neck pain
- Clicking sounds in the jaw joints
- Difficulty with opening the mouth
